One Day in Philly

One day, the whole family decided to go to "Philly" to see the sites.  We've done this before.... when I was about 8 years old and several of my siblings did not yet exist.   It was also something my  brother and his wife really wanted to do before they deployed to Japan for the next three years.

The first stop was Geno's for their famous Philly cheese-steak.  Honestly, as a non-biased human being who appreciates cheese-steak but is not picky, it was an insane rip-off.  The sandwich alone cost nine bucks without fries or a drink.   I coughed up the money for two of those suckers and discovered, it really was not all THAT great.  Ryan did not like his either and tried to feed it to the pigeons when I was not looking.

On that note, feeling somewhat thirsty, we headed for Independence Hall and the Liberty bell.  We did not see Independence Hall because the tickets were sold out for the day.  But the line for the Liberty Bell was relatively short.
Ryan did not really care about the Liberty bell.

We saw a few more things but by that time people were hot, thirsty, tired, and beginning to look angry.
On our way out, we did catch some reenactors reading the Declaration of Independence.
Ryan thought the guy with the funny clothes and sword was very impressive and he hung on very word that man spoke.

Then we all went to Dairy Queen to revive sagging spirits.
