Vacation: Day 3

When I was small, one of my favorite memories was going to Conte's farm to pick fresh produce.   As a child we picked strawberries, blueberries, pumpkins, green beans, sweet peas, and apples.

So of course I had to pass on the experience to Ryan!  We went to pick blueberries.  Sadly, blueberry season was pretty much over, so we tried our hand at a new fruit---

Peaches!

Because the peach orchard was not that far away, we didn't get to take the hay wagon ride.  Instead, we used this cart to haul the children and peaches around in.

Ryan really enjoyed finding good peaches and putting them in his bag.
Aaand climbing in and out of the wagon.  Let me tell you, it was a LOT heavier with him in it.
We did have to screen the bag for nasty peaches Ryan found and also for peaches with ONE bite taken out of them.
When we got home, we spent the rest of the day making peach pies and cobblers. YUM!
